GRIEVING PARENTS

KinderMourn provides support services for parents who have experienced the death of a child. Services are available regardless of the cause of death or age of the child.

For parents, the death of a baby during pregnancy can be devastating. Many times, even our most sensitive friends and family do not know how to respond to this loss. To facilitate the normalcy of emotions and fears, KinderMourn offers individual counseling and support groups for those who have experienced the death of a baby from early pregnancy through newborn death.

Grieving Children

When a child is grieving, parents and caregivers may not know how to help. When we are struggling with our own grief, it can be particularly hard to offer comfort. KinderMourn is a sanctuary for young people who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Helping the Hurt

KinderMourn recognizes that many of our community’s most vulnerable youth are unable to attend support groups at the KinderMourn Home. In 1994, due to this reality and the growing number of children impacted by grief and loss, the agency established Helping The Hurt, an outreach program providing support and hope to children and teens.
