U.S. National Whitewater Center

Adopt Ducks today! Visit Duck Central!

The Hope Floats Duck Race is a memorable afternoon for kids of all ages.  Bring your family and friends to the U.S. National Whitewater Center and watch our brave little yellow champions race to the finish line!  There will be live music, fun-filled activities, prizes and games for all to enjoy!

Why A Duck Race?

For 38 years, KinderMourn has provided help, hope and healing to bereaved parents, grieving children, and teens.  We provide counseling services for parents who have experienced the death of a child and children grieving the death of a loved one.  The mission has remained strong and the heart of KinderMourn still beats for one purpose….to provide a safe haven for those who have suffered an unimaginable loss.

How Can I Help?

Adopt a lucky duck or an entire flock and you could win a cash prize or one of several other great prizes.  The more ducks you adopt, the better your chances.  To enter, please visit www.duckrace.com/charlotte to adopt online.  At 3:30 p.m. the duck race begins and thousands of adorable rubber ducks will splash into the Whitewater Center’s churning rapids and dash through the currents.  If your duck is randomly selected at the finish line, you will automatically be the grand prize winner.
