The Grieving Parents Program
"KinderMourn provides a way to honor memories while rediscovering life, hope and courage."
KinderMourn provides professionally guided support groups, along with individual and family counseling for parents who have experienced the death of a child. Services are available regardless of the cause of death or age of the child. Special support is offered for those who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death.
The program offers a supportive environment where parents can express their pain, find understanding and acceptance of their feelings, and explore concerns surrounding their child's death. Most importantly, KinderMourn fosters an atmosphere of encouragement and hope.
Families interested in learning more about the grieving parent program are encouraged to schedule a time to meet with a KinderMourn counselor. There is no charge for the initial visit and fees for additional services are based on a sliding scale. Scholarships are available for those experiencing financial stress.
