Speaking Opportunities for Organizations and Groups

The KinderMourn staff and Speaker's Bureau is pleased to offer informational and educational talks and workshops for civic groups, church groups, fraternal organizations, business groups and community groups. Following is a list of suggestions and ideas.  We would be happy to design a talk or workshop to suit your particular needs.

KinderMourn Presentation

A general overview of the KinderMourn organization and bereavement services.  A short video is available to enhance the experience. 

Understanding Grief

For small or large groups, KinderMourn staff and members of the Speakers' Bureau will come to your organization or company and present information about both normal and complicated grief. At least 30 minutes is needed but the talk could last up to two hours.

Helping Grieving People

Responding to grieving individuals and families is difficult, particularly when we believe we must somehow make things better.   This talk will focus on the particular do's and don'ts in offering support to grieving people.

Helping Children Cope With Grief

This is a talk designed for helping parents, grandparents, and friends respond to the needs of grieving children in a fashion that facilitates the healing process.

Empty Arms - Understanding Perinatal Loss

This presentation will include information about the unique aspects of perinatal loss as well as a discussion about what we and friends and family can do to help.

Living Through The Holidays

At a time when there are signs of happiness all around, grieving families find holiday times filled with loneliness, fear, and sadness.  This workshop will focus on ways to help families manage the holidays in ways that give them a sense of control.
