We Have Grown! Building Hope Healing Hearts A Vision Becomes a Reality
Thanks to the generous support of our community, KinderMourn has completed our Building Hope…Healing Hearts capital campaign, successfully raising more than $1.3 million for an addition to the current KinderMourn Carter Seawell Home and securing future funding for the Helping The Hurt outreach program.
The capital campaign kicked off in May of 2000 under the leadership of David Dooley, Tony Grant and McKay Belk. "One reason the campaign was so successful is that people in Charlotte realize KinderMourn is unique to our city and that the agency helps improve the quality of life for many people in our community," said David Dooley. "Because of this, there was a real sense of local responsiveness to help the agency continue to be successful."
Capital campaign co-chair Tony Grant became involved because of KinderMourn's reputation of healing families in the community. "KinderMourn is an incredible beacon of positive energy and I have been honored and humbled to be associated with such caring people," Grant said.
A heartfelt thanks to all serving on the campaign committee and to all donors. We are forever grateful for your support of the campaign and most importantly to KinderMourn.
With grateful hearts and enriched spirits, we thank our donors for their support and dedication in making KinderMourn's Building Hope….Healing Hearts Campaign a success.
